The meeting between President Erdogan and Syrian President Assad is eagerly awaited. It is stated that Erdogan can meet both Putin and Assad, and that the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Naryshkin, met with the Head of MIT, Kalin, in Ankara to clarify the date and location of the meeting. According to allegations, the two leaders will take a photo together in August.

The President Erdogan stated at the beginning of the month that Turkey could invite Syrian President Bashar al-Assad at any moment regarding the normalization process with Syria. He also mentioned that the approach of Russian leader Putin is crucial for the meeting to take place. It has been revealed that during the special visit of Sergey Naryshkin, the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), to Ankara, the final details of the critical meeting were discussed.

According to the news of Türkiye Gazetesi, it has been learned that the intelligence agencies of the two countries, which are responsible for the normalization process between Turkey and Syria, have had 3 critical meetings in the past month. It was stated that Naryshkin discussed the date, country assignment, and other details of the Assad-Erdogan summit with the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, and the final details of the critical meeting were determined.

ANKARA MEETING POINT INDICATES KESEP

While it is stated that President Erdogan can meet both Russian leader Putin and Assad, a claim has been made about the meeting point. It is said that Ankara is considering the option of Kesep Gate on the Turkey-Syria border. While the process regarding the critical meeting continues, it is expected that the two leaders will come together in August.

IT WAS CLAIMED THAT THEY WILL MEET IN MOSCOW

On the other hand, after Assad's recent visit to Russia and his meeting with Putin, it was claimed that the meeting between Turkey and Syria would also take place in Moscow. Diplomatic sources quickly denied the claims that Erdogan and Assad would meet in Moscow.
