The Croatian government has decided to purchase six Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicles at the request of the Ministry of Defense. In the session held today by the Croatian government, approval was given to the request of the Croatian Ministry of Defense for the procurement of Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicles produced by Baykar. "URGENT AND PRIORITY"Speaking at the government meeting, Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic stated, "The Croatian Armed Forces reported an urgent and priority need for the procurement of Bayraktar TB2 armed unmanned aerial vehicles. A.Ş. presented an informative offer and configuration proposal for the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle system for the Republic of Croatia with a 'comprehensive package' model. The configuration includes six aircraft equipped with electro-optical cameras for reconnaissance purposes and the initial weapon set," he said. According to the Croatian minister's statement, Croatia will pay approximately 86.4 million euros for the Bayraktar TB2 systems to be purchased. In the decision text accepted by the Croatian government in today's session, it was emphasized that the package offered by Baykar includes not only UAVs equipped with cameras and weapon systems but also a command and control center, training simulator, ground control stations, ground data stations, a sufficient amount of spare parts for 4,000 flight hours, the stay of experts from Turkey in Croatia for two years, training in Turkey, and the complete transfer of the package to Croatia. The decision dated November 14 also stated, "The Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle system can be effectively and beneficially used in areas such as border surveillance, fire monitoring, and fishing control. This system can also be utilized by security and intelligence agencies, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction, and State Property."
