Crowd crush at a fair in Nigeria: 32 children lost their lives.

In a stampede at a fair held in Oyo State, southern Nigeria, 32 children lost their lives. Oyo Information Commissioner Prince Dotun Oyelade stated in a written statement that a stampede occurred at a special fair held yesterday in the state capital, Ibadan. Oyelade reported that 32 children died in the stampede and many others were injured.

FAIR ORGANIZERS IN CUSTODY

Oyelade reported that the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals and stated that an investigation into the incident is ongoing. Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde announced that an investigation has been launched regarding the incident and that the fair organizers have been taken into custody.
