Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known as "Cübbeli Ahmet" in the public, made remarkable statements about AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in a program he attended on Ekol TV.

After the local elections on March 31, AK Party, which has fallen to the position of the 2nd party in Turkey, held consultation meetings, but there was no visible process of change. Cübbeli Ahmet stated that Efkan Ala is the person behind this failure of AK Party.

Cübbeli Ahmet also revealed that he had phone conversations with former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu 7-8 years ago, saying, "Kılıçdaroğlu had meetings with every segment. There was no dialogue with the Islamic and conservative segments in the old CHP. Kılıçdaroğlu did it. I spoke with Kılıçdaroğlu on the phone 2 times 7-8 years ago. He has a reconciliatory spirit.
