According to Iranian security sources, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has banned the use of communication devices following Israel's attacks on pagers and radios in Lebanon. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps took action against a similar threat after the attacks that occurred in Lebanon. Two senior Iranian security officials, speaking to the British news agency Reuters on condition of anonymity, stated that the Revolutionary Guard Corps has re-evaluated its communication and communication network and has prohibited the use of communication devices after Israel targeted Hezbollah's pagers and radios in Lebanon. MEASURES ARE BEING TAKEN TO PREVENT THE ATTACK FROM OCCURRING IN IRAN While it is noted that the Revolutionary Guard Corps is on alert, it has been recorded that most of the communication tools used by the army are either homemade or brought into the country from China and Russia. An Iranian security source stated that the Revolutionary Guards are currently communicating through encrypted messaging, saying, "Some of the pagers that Israel targeted in the first attack were brought to Tehran. Here, the devices are being examined by Iranian technical teams. Measures are being taken to prevent a similar situation from occurring in Iran." The other official conveyed that Tehran's main concern is to prevent possible sabotage, especially against underground nuclear facilities and missile programs. NO OFFICIAL STATEMENT HAS BEEN MADE YET No official statement has yet been made by Iranian authorities regarding the issue. On the other hand, the Iranian armed forces primarily use domestically produced wireless radios for communication. The pagers targeted by Israel in Lebanon and used by Hezbollah are not found in the inventory of the Iranian army. Due to Western sanctions, the Iranian armed forces are unable to import the desired technology into the country and, in order not to be dependent on foreign military technology, they maintain their communication network with wireless radios produced in their own defense industry. Nevertheless, it has been reported that in recent years, the Iranian army has acquired communication devices from Russia and China.
