DEVA Party member Gergerlioğlu: The continuation of trustees will come.

The Ministry of Interior appointed trustees to the municipalities of Batman, Mardin, and Halfeti early in the morning following the appointment of a trustee to the Esenyurt Municipality of Istanbul last week.

After Esenyurt, the decision to appoint trustees for 2 provinces and 1 district raised tensions again. In a recent statement from the DEM Party, it was announced that they would not participate in the General Assembly and Committees of the Parliament. Gergerlioğlu, who said, "We are always open to solutions," stated, "We are in the Parliament, but today, by party decision, we will not participate in the General Assembly and Committees this week. Our party will respond to these ruthless undemocratic decisions."

Gergerlioğlu, emphasizing that the Kurdish people are in favor of a solution despite all the negativities, said: "From now on, there is a reality of trustees that has been brought forth with such excuses. Probably, there will be more to come. We do not see good intentions here. There have been consecutive trustee appointments in the previous period as well. We definitely do not find these steps to be well-intentioned."
