The English rock band Deep Purple, considered pioneers of modern hard rock and heavy metal music, met with their fans in Istanbul. The famous group performed a concert at KüçükÇiftlik Park, where they played a solo piece that included Mozart's Turkish March and the Turkish National Anthem. The audience applauded these moments, and the concert, which lasted about 1 and a half hours, ended with the band's 1970 recording of the song "Black Night". Gillan, the vocalist of Deep Purple, addressed the audience and said, "It's wonderful to return to Istanbul. We receive amazing energy from you on stage. We love you very much."
