Demonstrations, marches, and outdoor meetings have been banned for 3 days in Şırnak. The governorship stated in its announcement that certain areas in the province have been declared temporary special security zones from August 15th to 29th.

The Şırnak Governorate has announced that demonstrations, marches, and open-air meetings have been banned in the city center and all districts for a period of 3 days. Some areas in the province have been declared as "special security zones."

In a statement from the Governorate, it was reported that all programs other than events deemed appropriate by the Governorate and district governorships, programs organized by public institutions and organizations, official holidays, and sports competitions are banned on August 14-16.

The statement included the following:

"All kinds of open-air meetings, demonstrations, collective welcoming and farewell ceremonies, press statements, sit-ins, rallies, setting up tents, signature campaigns, opening stands, mass funeral ceremonies, memorial services, festivals, concerts, entertainment, theatrical performances, demonstrations, all kinds of audio and visual activities that can be done with sound broadcasting tools, releasing sky lanterns, flying balloons, drones, paramotors, and all kinds of air activities, as well as activities such as distributing leaflets, brochures, hanging banners and posters, are banned for 3 days within the city center and districts."

SOME AREAS DECLARED AS "SPECIAL SECURITY ZONES"

In another statement from the Governorate, it was stated that in order to ensure national security, public order and security, prevent acts of violence, and prevent any negative situations, temporary special security zones have been declared in the Bestler-Dereler area within the central district of Şırnak, Gabar Mountain within the central district of Şırnak and Güçlükonak, Cudi Mountain within the central district of Şırnak, Cizre, and Silopi, Kurt Mountain within the Silopi and Uludere districts, Kelmehmetler-Dönmezler-Kovankaya, Tahtareş, Hüsrevpaşa-Suhurpaşayayla, İncebeldağları, Faraşin, Altındağları regions within the Beytüşşebap district, and the Oymakaya region within the Beytüşşebap and Uludere districts from August 15 to 29, in accordance with the Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones Law No. 2565.

The coordinates of these areas were shared on the Governorate's website, and it was emphasized in the statement that it is important for citizens not to enter these areas for their own safety and the safety of their property.
