Some details have emerged regarding Iran's 14-point proposal submitted to the US via Pakistan. Accordingly, in its proposal, Tehran rejected the US's 2-month ceasefire offer, demanded that matters be resolved within 30 days, and emphasized that the focus should be on 'ending the war.' The draft includes provisions that would corner Washington, such as the withdrawal of US forces from around Iran, the lifting of sanctions and blockade, and the payment of war reparations.

Some details have emerged regarding Iran's 14-point proposal submitted to the US through Pakistan.

MAIN FOCUS IS NOT CEASEFIRE, BUT ENDING THE WAR

According to Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency, Tehran, while emphasizing its red lines in the 14-point proposal, also suggested a concrete roadmap for ending the war. Although the US's 9-point proposal requested a two-month ceasefire, Iran emphasized in its own proposal that matters should be resolved within 30 days and that the focus should be on "ending the war" rather than extending the ceasefire.

SOME TOPICS ARE KNOWN

Iran's proposal includes the withdrawal of US forces from around Iran, the lifting of the naval blockade, the release of Tehran's frozen assets, payment of war reparations by the US, the removal of first and second-tier sanctions against Iran, and the cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.

The report also stated that the proposal has been reviewed within Iran's decision-making mechanisms and was conveyed after obtaining necessary approvals.

TRUMP HAD SAID "I'M NOT SURE WE CAN REACH A DEAL"

Iran's official news agency IRNA had announced the proposal transmitted by Iran yesterday, stating, "Iran submitted the text of the final negotiation draft to Pakistan, the mediator in talks with the US, on the evening of Thursday, April 30."

However, US President Donald Trump said Tehran's proposal did not satisfy him. In his first remarks on the proposal, Trump stated, "They want to make a deal, but I was not satisfied with the latest offer. I'm not sure we can reach a deal." Trump, who said "The Iranians don't know who their leader is," used the expression "There are many conflicting voices in Tehran." Also saying he would not disclose to the press whether he would attack Iran, the US President said, "Will we finish them off forever or will we make a deal? I would prefer not to destroy them."

CLEAR MESSAGE FROM KHAMENEI TO GULF STATES: US'S SYMBOLIC BASES CANNOT PROTECT YOU

While the official response from the US side to the proposal is eagerly awaited, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei implicitly targeted the Gulf states. Khamenei had said, "The US's symbolic bases cannot even ensure their own security and are far from protecting the American-worshippers in the region."

FROM THE WHITE HOUSE TO THE US CONGRESS: HOSTILITIES THAT BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 28 HAVE ENDED

The White House had sent a letter to the US Congress stating that hostilities with Iran had ended. In the letter sent to US House Speaker Mike Johnson and bearing the signature of US President Donald Trump, it stated, "The hostilities that began on February 28, 2026, have ended," but it was also clearly noted that the war might still be far from over. The letter stated, "Despite the success of US operations against the Iranian regime and ongoing efforts to achieve a lasting peace, the threat posed by Iran to the US and our armed forces remains significant."
