The singer, composer, lyricist, and film actor Ferdi Tayfur, who passed away on January 2 at the hospital where he was treated, was honored with a ceremony at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM). After the ceremony, Ferdi Tayfur's body was brought to Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque. MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli also attended the funeral.

Bahçeli caressed Ferdi Tayfur's coffin. Bahçeli, who appeared to be saddened, prayed for Tayfur. During Bahçeli's departure from the area, a brief stampede risk was encountered. Struggling to move through the corridor opened by the security personnel, Bahçeli was able to get into his official vehicle with difficulty.

On the other hand, Devlet Bahçeli shared an emotional message following Ferdi Tayfur's passing. Bahçeli stated: "On this day when we seek to be worthy of the mercy, compassion, and forgiveness of Allah during the blessed Three Months and Regaib Kandil, we lost Ferdi Tayfur, the exceptional artist of the Turkish people and arabesque music. He was my brother, a master of voice and words who interpreted my heart's land. He was an artist who earned his halal livelihood with the sweat he shed in the cotton fields of Adana, and then climbed to the peaks of Turkish music, winning the hearts of millions, a devoted, self-sacrificing, and homeland-loving artist.

"THE COUSIN IS NOW LEFT ORPHANED"

The cousin is now left orphaned. The voice of the bleating lambs mourning a poor soul sadly plunged the burning and scorching voice of Çukurova into sorrow. Indeed, words are choking in my throat. I cannot find the words to describe and express my sadness. Ferdi Tayfur's passing took a part of me away. May he find peace in his place. May his abode be paradise. May Allah treat him with His mercy. May our esteemed nation, his loved ones, and all of us be consoled."
