After being detained in the investigation of the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır, Imam R.K., who was released and accused of having inappropriate images on his phone, especially on social media, is now under administrative investigation and 2 inspectors have been assigned.
The investigation continues regarding Narin Güran (8), who went missing after leaving the Quran course in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, and whose lifeless body was found in a sack in the riverbed 19 days later. An administrative investigation has been initiated against the imam R.K., who was released after being detained and is alleged to have inappropriate images on his phone. Two inspectors have been assigned.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, whose body was found in a sack covered with stones and bushes in the riverbed 19 days after she went missing after leaving the Quran course on August 21 in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district, is being conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
12 PEOPLE ARRESTED
As part of the investigation, Salim Güran, the uncle of Narin, who had DNA traces belonging to Narin in his car, Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to carrying the body, Yüksel Güran, Narin's mother, and Enes Güran, her brother, along with 12 other people, were arrested.
2 INSPECTORS ASSIGNED
R.K., who was one of the 23 people detained as part of the investigation and released on September 11, is alleged to have inappropriate images on his phone, especially on social media. An administrative investigation has been initiated against R.K. The Presidency of Religious Affairs has assigned 2 inspectors to conduct an investigation. It was learned that the imam was on annual leave.
