Sources from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the claims that the Hamas Political Bureau has moved to Turkey. The sources stated, "The claims that the Hamas Political Bureau has moved to Turkey do not reflect the truth." WHAT HAPPENED?The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has suspended its mediation role in the talks between Israel and Hamas after concluding that "neither side is negotiating in good faith." A Qatari diplomatic source speaking to CNN, based in the U.S., stated that Hamas's political office in Doha "will not be operational, and therefore (Hamas) may leave the country." The source mentioned that if talks were to resume, the office could be reopened. The Financial Times, based in Britain, also reported that due to pressure from Washington, Qatar wanted Hamas leaders to leave the country. A person knowledgeable about the matter suggested that Hamas officials in Qatar would be moved to Turkey.
