Journalist Reha Muhtar passed away at the age of 66 in a hospital in Bodrum, Muğla, where he had been undergoing treatment for a while. Muhtar, who fell ill at his home on May 28, was taken to a private hospital and treated for heart failure. Despite all interventions by doctors, he could not be saved, and his death news plunged his loved ones into grief.

Following Reha Muhtar's death, a post by singer Doğuş drew attention on social media. In previous statements, Doğuş had expressed being upset with Reha Muhtar due to some events that occurred when he was just 15 years old.
