Fluctuations in Brent oil prices, movements in exchange rates, and successive tax regulations continue to affect fuel prices. As of May 7, the price of gasoline per liter increased by approximately 0.53 Turkish lira, while autogas prices were reduced by 1.10 Turkish lira. No changes were made to diesel prices.
Developments in global markets and exchange rate volatility have been reflected in gasoline prices as an increase. According to information from the fuel sector, the price of gasoline per liter increased by an average of 50-53 kuruş as of midnight. Thus, vehicle owners faced a higher tariff at the pump once again.
DISCOUNT FOR LPG USERS
Despite the increase in gasoline, a notable discount was made in LPG prices. A discount ranging from 1 lira 10 kuruş to 1 lira 33 kuruş per liter in the LPG group was reflected at the pump. The discount allowed drivers using LPG vehicles to breathe a little easier, at least to some extent.
DIESEL PRICES REMAIN STABLE
In the latest changes in the fuel market, there has been no update in diesel prices. Industry representatives state that if volatility in oil prices and exchange rates continues, new price changes may occur in the coming days.
