Dragon Flame and jockey Akın Sözen won the 98th Gazi Race.

The 98th edition of the Turkish horse racing derby, the Gazi Race, held in Istanbul at the Veliefendi Hippodrome, has been organized in the name of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk since 1927.

In the 98th edition of the Turkish horse racing derby, Dragon Flame emerged as the victorious horse.

MADE THE OWNER RICH

The winning horse of this important race in Turkish horse racing earned its owner a prize of 13 million 500 thousand liras. The second-place horse received 5 million 400 thousand liras, the third-place horse received 2 million 700 thousand liras, the fourth-place horse received 1 million 350 thousand liras, and the fifth-place horse received 675 thousand liras as prize money.

Thus, the total prize money for the top five horses amounted to 23 million 625 thousand liras. In addition to the first-place prize money, the owner of the winning horse also earned income from registration fees, installment fees, and owner's premium, totaling 20 million 967 thousand liras. If the owner of the horse is also the breeder, the breeding premium will be included in this amount, bringing the total prize money to 24 million 848 thousand 250 liras.
