Two people were rescued after a wooden bridge over a river in southern Norway collapsed on Monday, police said.
In a statement, Innlandet county police said they were alerted at 7.34 a.m. local time about the accident involving a car and a truck in Oyer municipality.
The car plunged into the river, while the truck remained in a nearly vertical position on a collapsed section of the bridge.
The drivers of both vehicles were rescued, and there is no indication that more people are involved, police added.
The bridge connects the Gudbrandsdalslagen River and the village of Tretten. -
