Federal Police spokesperson Stefan Bayer told the German newspaper BILD, "Around 09:00, pilots made a suspicious observation." Bayer stated that a flying object was seen near Munich Airport, which could be a UAV. Due to security concerns, flights at Munich Airport were halted.

Police spokesperson Bayer later said in a statement, "The search conducted by the Federal Police found no suspicious situation." Flights resumed after a one-hour break. It was reported that some flights were delayed, while others were canceled.
