TRUCK DRIVER ESCAPED AT THE LAST MOMENT
According to the information obtained, a suspect who was determined to have brought drugs obtained in Istanbul to Sakarya ignored the gendarmerie teams' "stop" warning at the Akyazı toll booths and entered the opposite direction. The suspect, trying to flee in the opposite direction, caused moments of terror in traffic. The suspect, who hit moving vehicles, increased the danger, while a truck driver who got out of his vehicle while waiting at traffic lights narrowly escaped being trapped under the vehicle driven by the suspect. The chase that began at the toll booths ended when gendarmerie teams cut off the vehicle a short time later. Drugs were seized in the vehicle of the suspect, who was taken into custody. The moments when the suspect spread terror in traffic and the truck driver narrowly escaped being crushed were captured second by second on the cameras of the team vehicles.
3 ARRESTS IN OPERATIONS
Meanwhile, in a joint operation by Adapazarı, Kocaali, and Highway Gendarmerie teams, a suspicious person was searched on a passenger bus stopped at the Adapazarı toll booths. During the searches, 107 grams of A-M substance in 2 pieces, 4 grams of methamphetamine, 1 pharmaceutical pill, 4 drug pills, 15 spray bottles filled with drug liquid, a drug-use apparatus, a jet lighter, a piece of cloth soaked with synthetic cannabinoid raw material, and 3 mobile phones were seized.
In an operation carried out by gendarmerie teams at the residences of 2 suspects in the Ferizli district, 2 kilograms 329 grams of cannabis resin, a precision scale, and 2 mobile phones were also seized.
The 3 people taken into custody in the operations were arrested by the judicial authorities to which they were referred and sent to prison. The other suspect taken into custody in the operation in Ferizli was released subject to judicial control conditions.
