In an operation conducted at 5 addresses and 3 vehicles in Istanbul's Esenyurt, Silivri, Ataşehir, Başakşehir, and Avcılar districts, 98 kilograms 500 grams of skunk, part of which was hidden in a dishwasher, and 1 kilogram of cocaine were seized. It was determined that the drugs were being distributed under the guise of a food courier, and that the handmade explosive was tied to a rope and lowered into the elevator shaft. 2 suspects were arrested, and 1 more suspect was taken into custody.
In an operation carried out in 5 separate districts in Istanbul, 98 kilograms 500 grams of the drug known as skunk and 1 kilogram of cocaine were seized. While 2 suspects caught in the operation were arrested, 1 more suspect was taken into custody in ongoing efforts.
Teams of the Istanbul Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate, within the scope of efforts to prevent drug trafficking, conducted an operation targeting 5 addresses and 3 vehicles in the Esenyurt, Silivri, Ataşehir, Başakşehir and Avcılar districts. Two suspects were taken into custody in the operations. During searches, 98 kilograms 500 grams of Skunk, part of which was hidden in a dishwasher, and 1 kilogram of cocaine were seized, while 3 precision scales and 1 hand grenade were also confiscated.
2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, EXPLOSIVE FOUND IN HOME
The 2 caught suspects were arrested by the court to which they were referred. In simultaneous operations conducted against specified addresses in Esenyurt and Avcılar, 1 wanted suspect was taken into custody. In searches carried out at the suspect's home, a homemade explosive and 29 rounds of 7.62-millimeter ammunition were seized.
DELIVERY IN COURIER DISGUISE, BOMB IN ELEVATOR SHAFT
In examinations, it was determined that the drugs were transported in closed boxes and that an attempt was made to deliver them by posing as a food delivery courier. It was also determined that the homemade explosive was tied to a rope and lowered into the building's elevator shaft and that it was attempted to be hidden in this way.
568 KILOGRAMS OF PILL RAW MATERIAL FOUND IN WAREHOUSE IN KAĞITHANE
The teams also conducted an operation on an address in Kağıthane assessed to be used as a warehouse by different suspects. Two more suspects were taken into custody in the operation. During searches, 568 kilograms 300 grams of the drug known as pregabalin, used as a raw material for synthetic pills, were seized.
