Due to the Istanbul Marathon, some roads in Istanbul have been closed to traffic.

Due to the Istanbul Marathon, some roads in Istanbul have been closed to traffic. Alternative routes have been created for drivers for the gradually closed routes. The Istanbul Governorship had previously announced that as of 03:00 and 06:00 on Sunday, November 2, the marathon routes and many connected points would be closed to traffic until the end of the program. Alternative routes corresponding to the closed roads were also shared by the governorship.

Among the roads closed at 03:00 are;

South Zincirlikuyu Junction, North Uzunçayır Ramp Closure Point, Ünalan–Ataşehir–Sabiha Gökçen junctions, Gayrettepe Melas Hotel front D-100 south entrance, D-100 entrances of Barbaros Boulevard, Sait Çiftçi variant, Kısıklı Street Altunizade bridge entrances, Beylerbeyi Abdullahağa Street towards the 15 July Martyrs Bridge, Tophanelioğlu entrance, and Ataşehir Kızıl Begonya Street connections.

Within the alternative routes created by the governorship;

Büyükdere – Balmumcu / Levent – Sarıyer junction, Çamlıca connection road, Ünalan – Ataşehir – Çamlıca axis, Yıldız Posta – Esentepe direction, Beşiktaş direction, and Sarıyer direction have been designated as mandatory guidance points.

The routes that will be closed to traffic at 06:00 are as follows:

Rauf Orbay Street towards Florya and Yenikapı, Sahil Kennedy Street between Unkapanı–Bakırköy, Ankara Street, Alayköşkü Street, Alemdar Street, Divanyolu, Ragıp Gümüşpala Street (two-way), Reşadiye Street (Sirkeci coastal road), Galata Bridge (two-way), Eurasia Tunnel (two-way), the underpass at Havuzlu Junction, and all connection roads around Sultanahmet Atmeydanı.

The designated alternative routes are:

Atatürk Boulevard, Balat Coastal Road, Unkapanı Bridge, Fevzipaşa Street, Vatan Street, Millet Street, New Airport Street, Old Airport Street, Ekrem Kurt Boulevard, and D-100 Highway have been announced.
