Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek said at the extraordinary general assembly meeting held to request authority on real estate projects and club properties that if they cannot fix the negative equity situation, they may receive a penalty from UEFA. We are currently in a negative equity situation. They are telling us to fix it immediately. If we cannot fix it, we will most likely face a penalty." NATIONAL TEAM REMARKSÖzbek also spoke about the quarter-final match between the Turkish National Football Team and the Netherlands in the 2024 European Championship. He said, "There is a very important match tonight. Our national team will play against the Netherlands for the semi-finals. We all see how big of a contribution Galatasaray has made there. Hopefully, they will win the match tonight." FLORYA HOUSING PROJECTÖzbek also talked about the Florya Housing Project and stated that their initial plan was to build this project with the club's resources. He mentioned that there have been some developments in the past 2 years and said that the difference between housing price increase and construction cost has closed. Özbek also said, "The interest we pay to the Banking Association has increased from 15% to 51%. As a result, our club now pays approximately 35 million dollars in interest per year."
