26.11.2021 13:12

Country's annual GDP likely to grow 10% in 2021, economists say in survey ahead of GDP figures' release on Monday.

Turkey's economy is forecast to grow 8.1% year-on-year in the third quarter, an Anadolu Agency survey revealed on Friday.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) will release its gross domestic product (GDP) figures on Monday.

A group of 18 economists projected average year-on-year growth of 8.1% in the third quarter, with their predictions hovering between 5.3% and 13.5%.

The economists also predicted that Turkey's annual GDP in 2021 would grow by 10% on average, with the highest at 12.5% and lowest at 8.4%.

The country's GDP grew by 21.7% in the second quarter this year.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Turkey was one of the few countries that achieved positive growth, with its economy expanding by 1.8% in last year
