The Judges and Prosecutors Council (HSK) has changed the duty locations of 332 judges and public prosecutors. The appointment of the prosecutor who was involved in the case of Dilan and Engin Polat has also been made.
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that the work on the appointment decisions based on excuses for judges and prosecutors has been completed and that the decisions will be announced on the Judges and Prosecutors Council website. Yılmaz Tunç's statement on his social media account is as follows:
"The work of the 1st Chamber of the Judges and Prosecutors Council regarding the 2024 Judicial and Administrative Jurisdiction Excuse-Based Autumn Decree has been completed. The decree will be published shortly on our HSK website (https://hsk.gov.tr). I hope it will be beneficial for our country and the judiciary community, and I wish success to our judges and public prosecutors in their new duties."

The excuse decree work related to judicial and administrative jurisdiction has been completed by the 1st Chamber of HSK and announced on the HSK's website.
Accordingly, 318 judges in the judicial jurisdiction and 14 judges and prosecutors in the administrative jurisdiction have been assigned to new positions. Within the scope of the decree, Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor Haydar Memiş has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul Anadolu, while Bodrum Chief Public Prosecutor Hasan Dalak has been appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Gaziosmanpaşa.
Çanakkale Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Behçet İşlek has also become the new Chief Public Prosecutor of Bodrum. Erzurum Regional Court Chief Public Prosecutor Hüsnü Hakan Yağız has been assigned to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Tekirdağ Regional Court, while Ünal Bingül, who held this position, has been appointed as the Chief Public Prosecutor of Erzurum Regional Court in place of Yağız.
NOTABLE APPOINTMENT
It has been learned that Istanbul Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor Ahmet Çolak, who opened the 'fool' case against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who received a 2 years and 7 months prison sentence and a political ban for calling the members of the Supreme Election Council (YSK) 'fools', has been appointed to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Çaycuma in Zonguldak.
It has also been learned that Çolak was recently involved in the Dilan-Engin Polat investigation. In the case seen at the Istanbul Anadolu 7th Criminal Court of First Instance, Ekrem İmamoğlu was sentenced to 2 years, 7 months, and 15 days in prison and a political ban for calling the YSK members 'fools.'
