After the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, a new move came from American billionaire Elon Musk, whose actions were likened to a Nazi salute.

Musk participated live in a campaign meeting organized by the far-right populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in the city of Halle, Germany.

"AFD IS GERMANY'S HOPE"

Musk connected live from the U.S. before the speech to be delivered by Alice Weidel, co-chair of the AfD party and the party's candidate for chancellor. Addressing the participants, Musk argued that the AfD is Germany's hope. He expressed that it is good to be proud of being German. Praising the AfD and its election program, Musk said, "Fight for Germany's wonderful future."

MESSAGE FROM AFD CANDIDATE TO TRUMP

AfD chancellor candidate Alice Weidel thanked Musk and extended good wishes to the government under U.S. President Donald Trump.

Weidel stated that Americans and Republicans are making their country great again, saying, "We are also making our homeland great again in Germany. Make Germany great again."

MUSK'S RELATIONSHIP WITH FAR-RIGHT GROUPS DRAWS REACTION

American billionaire Musk has been in the news lately for allegedly supporting far-right political circles in Europe.

Musk had previously conducted a live broadcast with AfD co-chair Weidel on the X platform he owns. European leaders have accused Musk of interfering in internal affairs. Some members of the European Parliament had called on the EU to take action against Musk's social media posts praising the far-right.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticized Musk in a statement, saying, "He is using his newly acquired media power to interfere in the world." Scholz expressed that Musk's partisanship in favor of far-right parties saddened him, stating, "This endangers democracy and coexistence in Europe."
