President Erdoğan stated in his speech at the NATO Parliamentary Summit that European security is going through a historic turning point and that NATO must become more deterrent. Stating that Turkey will continue to contribute to peace, Erdoğan said, 'We are completely ending terrorism.' Erdoğan also emphasized that the US-Iran ceasefire must be permanent and expressed that lasting peace in the region cannot be achieved without an end to Israel's land grabbing.

The NATO Parliamentary Summit continues in Istanbul. As part of the summit, speakers of parliament from 20 countries have come to Turkey, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also attended a luncheon held in honor of the parliamentary speakers.

Addressing the participants, Erdogan stated that Europe is going through a historic turning point in terms of security, saying, "We are in the midst of an uncertainty. This summit is a demonstration of solidarity among allies."

"NATO MUST BE DETERRENT"

Erdogan, noting that developments in the region have changed the security understanding, emphasized that NATO should have a more deterrent structure.

Stating that Turkey is one of the countries that best reads the spirit of the new era, Erdogan said, "Turkey supports peace. We share our experience with our allies. We have the will to be involved in all defense initiatives on the continent."

"WE ARE COMPLETELY ENDING TERRORISM"

President Erdogan, expressing determination in the fight against terrorism, stated, "We are completely ending terrorism."

Referring to cooperation in the field of defense, Erdogan said, "We need to remove the barriers to defense trade. We are doing our part in burden sharing."

DREW ATTENTION TO REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS

Erdogan stated that regional developments, particularly in Ukraine, Iran, the Gulf, and Palestine, would be discussed at the summit.

Erdogan, expressing that the ceasefire achieved between the US and Iran should be permanent, said, "We are monitoring attacks that seek to undermine the agreement."

Referring to attacks on Lebanon, Erdogan said, "We are closely following the attacks targeting Lebanon. Opportunities should not be given to the provocations of the genocide network. There can be no lasting peace in our region without an end to Israel's ever-increasing land grab."
