A historic step is being taken regarding illegal betting, which President Erdoğan said they would "uproot." Justice Minister Gürlek stated, "In Turkey, unfortunately, the problem is that playing illegal betting is not a crime. Those who operate, broker, transfer money, or provide bank accounts are committing crimes. But the player of illegal betting is not committing a crime. We are working on a regulation to make this a crime."

REMARKABLE WORDS FROM MINISTER GÜRLEK

Justice Minister Akın Gürlek stated during a consultation meeting held with deputies from the Black Sea Region provinces at Ankara Hakimevi that young people and children are falling into a quagmire regarding virtual betting, drugs, and virtual gambling.

"HSK WILL DO WHAT IS NECESSARY"

Gürlek, emphasizing the importance of "target time" for speeding up the judiciary, stated that if judges and prosecutors fail to complete their files within the target time, the HSK (Council of Judges and Prosecutors) will do what is necessary.
