A 20-year-old patient named Ö.A. went to the emergency department of İskenderun State Hospital in Hatay with severe abdominal pain complaint. During the initial intervention, a foreign object and a stomach tear were detected in his stomach. Upon this, General Surgery Specialist Opr. Dr. Süleyman Belli and his team decided to perform emergency surgery for the patient. During the operation, a hairball about 50 centimeters long was removed from Ö.A.'s stomach. SUFFERING FROM TRICHOPHAGIAIt was stated that the patient has a hair-eating habit known as trichophagia (Rapunzel syndrome) for about 10-15 years.
