EXPLOSION AT TÜPRAŞ REFINERY

An explosion occurred for an undetermined reason at the Tüpraş Refinery located in the Aliağa district of İzmir. A fire broke out at the refinery following the explosion.

INTERVENTION IN THE FIRE CONTINUES

Upon notification of the incident, a large number of police, medical, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams' efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing. It has been learned that the explosion occurred in the crude oil furnace.
