Some victims, who paid fees ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 euros to enroll in the university, filed complaints with CIMER after discovering that their diplomas were fake, while others became plaintiffs.

In the criminal complaint filed with the court, Ali İlseven, who appears as the rector of the university, was accused of establishing internet sites that imitate government institutions and universities and providing fake diplomas to those who register.
