The grieving mother Naciye Şimşek, whose daughters Cemre (4), Ceylin (2), and Nira (14) were killed by her husband Vesim Şimşek, a factory worker of 14 years in İzmir, broke her silence. "CEMRE AND CEYLİN WERE TODDLERS"Naciye Şimşek, who still lives in Salihli district of Manisa and is still in shock from the incident, said in an interview with Sabah newspaper's Ceyhan Torlak, "Hiranur is still being treated. She is still unconscious. She is being sedated. She is undergoing small operations. Hiranur is keeping us going. Cemre and Ceylin were still toddlers. It was Nira's birthday on September 20th. Nira even said to me in her last conversation, 'You made a cake for my uncle's birthday. Can you make one for me too?' I said, 'Of course, my dear, we will make it. Just ask for a cake.' She wanted a bicycle. We were going to buy her a bicycle as a birthday present. Nira's last wish was a birthday cake and a bicycle," she said. "WE EMBRACED EACH OTHER IN MY DREAM"The grieving mother Naciye Şimşek, who said that all three of her daughters appeared in her dream as angels, said, "In my dream, Nira had cut her hair. All of my children were dressed beautifully. They came running and kissed their grandparents' hands. Ceylin turned to me, tears were about to fall from her eyes. We embraced each other in my dream," she said. "HE SAID 'I WILL KILL YOU WHILE YOU'RE ALIVE'"Naciye Şimşek, who said she believed her husband Vesim Şimşek planned the murders, said, "Based on the questions he asked for the past 2-3 weeks, I think the murders were planned. I am putting the pieces of the puzzle together. He asked me before the incident, 'If something happens to the children, will you come to İzmir?' and 'If something happens to me, will you come to İzmir?' I had a tubal ligation procedure because I had 4 children and didn't want any more. That's why Vesim asked me, 'If you get married again, will you have another child?' I said, 'No, I won't.' That's why he knew I couldn't have another child. He said to me, 'I will kill you while you're alive.' I never thought for a moment that he would do something to our children. I thought maybe there would be an incident on the day of the trial, we would argue. I never thought he would do anything worse. I never even had the slightest thought that he would do something like this to our children," she said. "HE USED TO ABUSE ME AND THE CHILDREN"Naciye Şimşek said, "Throughout my marriage, I experienced psychological and physical abuse. He also abused my children in the same way. The children used to stay with me in Manisa Salihli. But before the schools opened, I sent them to İzmir to be with their father. Some time before the incident, Vesim had also abused me. That's why I went to my father's house. Then he came to us and swore on the Quran to my father. He said, 'I won't hurt Naciye anymore.' Then I went back home. It didn't even last a week. He abused me again. Then I went to the police and got a restraining order," she said. "HE MIGHT HAVE TRICKED MY DAUGHTERS BY SAYING SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THEIR UNCLE"Şimşek continued, "We used to go to Vesim's brother's house through the dirt road that leads to the area where the incident took place. Most likely, he tricked my older daughters by saying 'something happened to your uncle' and took my children to the area on the day of the incident. My daughters would never get up at 7 or 8 in the morning and leave. I think he tricked them like this," she said. "HE BURNED MY AND THE CHILDREN'S CLOTHES"Naciye Şimşek, who said that her husband Vesim Şimşek was diagnosed with cancer, said, "Also, he got salt spirit in his eye while at work. He had partial blindness in one eye. He also injured his hand once. I think these happened because of our curses. The children liked to have meatball sandwiches. There is no situation as mentioned in the press that the children's last wish was meatball sandwiches. My children were going to come back to me in Manisa Salihli a few days later. They had even packed their suitcases. I thought they should stay with their father until the schools opened. Vesim had said that he would even send money to the children. But we experienced an incident that devastated all of us. They couldn't come back. After Vesim left the house, he burned my and the children's clothes. Later, I called and told him to buy clothes for the children. But 2 days passed and he didn't buy any clothes. Because he had planned these murders," she said.
