In the 4th week of the UEFA Champions League, Fenerbahçe, who recorded a historic victory by defeating Liverpool 3-2, did not leave the field with only 3 points. The yellow-navy blues, who earned a 2 million 100 thousand euro victory bonus by beating the English giant, reached a total income of 22 million 120 thousand euros in the Champions League.
Fenerbahçe defeated Liverpool 3-2, whom it hosted in Istanbul in the 4th week of the UEFA Champions League, securing its first victory in the league phase this season. Following the historic victory, the yellow-navy blues also earned the right to obtain significant revenue from UEFA.
LIVERPOOL VICTORY BROUGHT IN 2.1 MILLION EUROS
Fenerbahçe, which earned 18 million 620 thousand euros in revenue for participating in the Champions League league phase, had also earned a total of 1 million 400 thousand euros from the two draws in the matches it had played earlier.
After the 3-2 victory over Liverpool, the yellow-navy blues added another 2 million 100 thousand euros to their coffers, and their total bonus from the results in the league phase rose to 3 million 500 thousand euros.
TOTAL REVENUE EXCEEDED 22 MILLION EUROS
With the Liverpool victory, Fenerbahçe's total revenue in the Champions League reached 22 million 120 thousand euros. The results the yellow-navy blues achieve in the remaining part of the tournament could enable this figure to increase even further.
THE RANKING WILL DETERMINE THE MONEY THAT WILL GO INTO THE COFFERS
The position in which Fenerbahçe finishes the league phase is also of great importance in terms of the additional revenue it will earn from UEFA. If the yellow-navy blues advance to the play-off round, they will earn 1 million euros more. If they finish the league phase within the top 8, they will be entitled to an additional bonus of 11 million euros.
