Fenerbahçe visited Göztepe in the 2nd week of the Trendyol Super League. The yellow-blues had a 2-2 draw with their opponent, experiencing their first point loss.

GÖZTEPE'S GOAL WAS DISALLOWED DUE TO VAR

ALI KOÇ ATTACKED

Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç was attacked during the Göztepe away match. Due to some Fenerbahçe fans not being able to enter the stadium, Koç was targeted by foreign objects thrown towards the away stand. While walking on the sideline, someone came from behind and attacked Koç, causing him to fall to the ground. The security forces on the sideline immediately intervened against the person who attacked Ali Koç.

After the incident, the match was paused and resumed when Ali Koç went to the dressing room. In the 68th minute of the match, Göztepe reduced the gap to 1 with Koray Günter's goal.
