The first hearing of the case opened by Fenerbahçe against the Ministry of Interior regarding the July 3, 2011 process was held. The yellow-navy team demanded compensation from the ministry for the Super League and the Champions League.

FENERBAHÇE'S STATEMENT

In a statement made by Fenerbahçe, the following was stated: "The first hearing of the case opened by our club against the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey due to the damages suffered during the conspiracy investigation that began on July 3, 2011, caused by the 'serious service fault' nature of the administrative actions and behaviors of the prosecutors and police officers, was held today.

"PAY COMPENSATION FOR SUPER LEAGUE AND CHAMPIONS LEAGUE"

At the end of the hearing, which was closely followed by our Board Members responsible for Legal Affairs, Fethi Pekin and Ali Alper Alpoğlu, our club's lawyer Erden Gürden made statements to Fenerbahçe TV regarding the first hearing. Expressing to the court the FETÖ conspiracy, the activities carried out by the terrorist organization, and the damages our club suffered from this, our lawyer Erden Gürden stated the following;

"As you know, we had filed a serious compensation lawsuit against the Ministry of Interior in the Administrative Court. Regarding this case, the Administrative Court decided that the Heavy Criminal Courts were competent, and the Istanbul Anatolian 6th Heavy Criminal Court was assigned to this file. We appeared in our hearing at the 6th Heavy Criminal Court today, as of November 7. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Ministry of Interior were also present. At the same time, our Board Members Fethi Pekin and Ali Alper Alpoğlu were also present at the hearing. Here, we reiterated verbally the FETÖ conspiracy, the activities carried out by the terrorist organization, and the damages we suffered from this. We requested compensation for all our material and moral damages. We demanded compensation for both the damages of not being able to participate in the 2011-2012 Champions League and our damages for 2014-2015. The court took our requests quite seriously and referred the file to an expert in line with our requests. The experts will now examine our damages and will come to our club. They will calculate our damages, whether they are sponsorship damages or damages from not being able to participate in the Champions League... We hope that they will rule a good compensation afterwards."
