A funeral prayer was held for Martyr Aykut after the Friday prayer at the Kırıkkepenek Neighborhood Mosque. The funeral was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Tekirdağ Governor Recep Soytürk, members of parliament, the martyr's wife Duygu, son Poyraz, mother Zülbiye, father Ünal Aykut, and thousands of others. Duygu Aykut attended the funeral wearing her husband's parka along with their son Poyraz.
EMBRACED THE COFFIN AND SHED TEARS
The mother and son embraced the coffin wrapped in the Turkish flag and shed tears. The martyr's mother Zülbiye Aykut, who was crying while embracing the coffin, was consoled by her relatives. After the funeral prayer led by Tekirdağ Mufti Mustafa Soykök, Martyr İlker Aykut was laid to rest in the Kırkkepenek Neighborhood Cemetery.
