A fire broke out in the dormitory area of a construction site in Kahramanmaraş, killing 1 worker and injuring 6 others. The fire started in the morning hours in the dormitory where workers were staying at a residential construction site in the Doğukent neighborhood of the central Dulkadiroğlu district. As flames rose from the dormitory, numerous fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. The fire was brought under control after a 3-hour operation by the fire department with 15 vehicles and 40 personnel.

In the fire, 1 worker lost his life, and 6 workers were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in the city by ambulances for treatment. An investigation has been launched into the incident, and it was reported that efforts to determine the cause of the fire are ongoing.
