A fire broke out on the terrace floor of an 8-story apartment building located in the Fatih neighborhood of Bahçelievler, Batman. The fire started for unknown reasons. Firefighters arrived at the scene upon receiving the citizens' report, but what happened afterwards can only be described as a complete disaster. HOW IRRESPONSIBLE IS THIS?The fire broke out on the terrace floor of a 9-story building located on 1636th Street in Bahçelievler neighborhood yesterday evening. Those who saw the flames covering the terrace quickly reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Everything was normal up to this point... But what happened afterwards revealed the irresponsibility of the officials working in the Batman fire department. JUST WHEN THE FLAMES WERE ABOUT TO BE EXTINGUISHED, THE WATER RAN OUTUpon receiving the report, the teams that arrived at the scene took precautions in the surrounding area and started to intervene in the flames. However, just when the fire was about to be extinguished, the water in the fire trucks ran out. As a result, the flames flared up again and spread to other apartments. Inadequate response from the fire brigade led to the support of TOMA vehicles belonging to the Provincial Police Department and petroleum extinguishing vehicles belonging to TPAO. After 3 hours, the fire was extinguished, but 4 apartments in the building became uninhabitable. CITIZENS ARE OUTRAGEDThe fact that both the water in the fire trucks ran out and only two fire trucks were sent to the fire in the heart of the city drew the citizens' strong reaction. After the incident, some residents of the area expressed their dissatisfaction, saying, "This is the heart of Batman, and how did the fire grow so quickly? Someone could have died, and those responsible must be held accountable."
