In the 'International Stork-Themed Photography Competition' held in Spain, Turkish nature observer Alper Tüydeş was awarded the first prize for his photograph titled 'Yaren Leylek'.
This year, in the 34th 'International Stork-Themed Photography Competition' held in Spain, nature observer Alper Tüydeş was awarded first place for his photograph titled 'Yaren Stork'.
Alper Tüydeş, who participated in the competition held annually in the town of Malpartida, Spain, for the fifth time this year, presented a photo reflecting the moment of Adem Yılmaz and Yaren Stork on a boat to the jury. In a competition with 152 entries, Tüydeş's photograph made it to the finals and was selected as the winner by receiving the highest score from all jury members.

Tüydeş, who stated that he had the opportunity to exhibit his work three times in previous years but received the first-place award for the first time this year, said, "The competition is held every year in the town of Malpartida, Spain, and is considered one of Europe's long-established, prestigious organizations. It is a great honor for my photograph to be deemed worthy of the first-place award. The organizing committee invited me to the award ceremony to be held on April 5."
If I am available, I am considering attending in person. The news of my first place has also been covered in the Spanish press and international media. As someone from Bursa, it is very valuable for me to represent my country and the city I live in with such a meaningful story. It makes me happy to provide people with a breath of fresh air in this busy agenda and to draw attention to the beauties of nature. I am proud on behalf of my country," he said.
