In the Havza district of Samsun, Şerafettin İkiz, who fled from a police check and went missing, was found dead in a river two days later. The cause of İkiz's death will be determined by an autopsy.
Şerafettin İkiz (44), who fled from a police check in the Havza district of Samsun, was found dead in the river under the bridge two days later. Şerafettin İkiz, who had a supervised release decision against him, and a friend fled by car from a police check conducted in Suluova district of Amasya on February 3. When İkiz arrived at the Paşapınar area, he abandoned the car and fled. The other suspect was detained by police teams.
THE CAUSE OF DEATH WILL BE DETERMINED BY AUTOPSY RESULTS
When İkiz did not return home, his family reported him missing to the Havza Gendarmerie Command. AFAD and gendarmerie teams started working in the area where İkiz was last seen upon the report. The teams found a mobile phone belonging to Şerafettin İkiz in the area where the flow of the Tersakan River in Paşapınar Neighborhood had increased. Around 03:00 today, İkiz's lifeless body was found in the river under the bridge, approximately 2 kilometers away from the area where the phone was found. İkiz's body was taken to the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Presidency for autopsy after examination.
It was reported that the cause of Şerafettin İkiz's death would be determined after the autopsy.
