Flood and water inundation warning issued for 14 provinces by Meteorology! Yellow and orange alerts given.

Meteorology warned to be careful against floods and inundations by issuing yellow and orange coded alerts for 14 provinces over the weekend. It is predicted that the general weather conditions will be partly cloudy with occasional heavy clouds in some areas. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to occur locally in the eastern part of Marmara, northeastern part of Central Anatolia, Black Sea region, northern part of Eastern Anatolia, surrounding areas of Ankara, eastern part of Mersin, southern and western parts of Adana, and coastal areas of Hatay.

The General Directorate of Meteorology issued yellow and orange coded warnings for 14 cities in its weather forecast report for July 27. According to the report, while scattered showers are expected in many regions, it was stated that the rainfall will be heavy in the Black Sea region, Çankırı, Kars, and Ardahan.

After a hot and humid week, Istanbul residents welcomed the weekend with rain. The showers that started in the morning quickly began to show their effect.

"ORANGE" ALERT FOR 7 CITIES, "YELLOW" ALERT FOR 7 CITIES

Cities with yellow coded warnings: Artvin, Erzurum, Giresun, Kars, Rize, Trabzon, Düzce

Cities with orange coded warnings: Kastamonu, Ordu, Samsun, Sinop, Zonguldak, Bartın, Düzce

HEAVY SHOWERS EXPECTED IN EASTERN BLACK SEA AND EASTERN ANATOLIA

It is expected that the rainfall will be heavy in some parts of the Black Sea coast, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, and the northern parts of Erzurum.

MEDIUM STRENGTH WINDS EXPECTED

The wind is expected to be generally light from the north, occasionally moderate (40-60 km/h) in the southwest of Marmara, the Aegean coast, the southern and eastern parts of Central Anatolia, and the western parts of Eastern Anatolia.

NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN TEMPERATURES

No significant change in temperature is expected. It is predicted that the weather will be around seasonal norms throughout the country and occasionally below seasonal norms in the inner and northwest regions.
