A forest fire broke out in the Fethiye district of Muğla. While the flames were visible from all around the district, the incoming images were alarming. As teams intervened in the fire from the air and ground, precautionary evacuations were carried out. The General Directorate of Forestry stated in its announcement that the fire was largely brought under control.
A forest fire broke out for an undetermined reason in the touristic Çalış area of Muğla's Fethiye district. The flames, which grew rapidly with the effect of the wind, were visible from all around the district, while the fire's rapid advance towards residential areas caused great panic in the region.
FLAMES ARE ADVANCING RAPIDLY
Upon the notification, numerous forest and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region. The teams launched an intense extinguishing effort from the air and land to prevent the flames from reaching houses and nearby touristic facilities.
