PARIS (AA) - At least three people were killed in heavy rains and floods that hit Aude region in southern France, the local governor said.
According to a statement, one person was killed in the city of Villardonnel while two others lost their lives in the town of Villegailhenc.
Water level in a large number of houses and workplaces in the area rose above 1.5 meters, the statement added.
Schools were closed and residents were asked to stay at home. -
