A new increase in fuel prices is coming. A rise of 74 kuruş is expected in the price of gasoline per liter starting from midnight. No changes are anticipated in diesel prices. The increase in gasoline prices will take effect from midnight, resulting in a rise of 74 kuruş per liter. Previously, there was a reduction of 60 kuruş in gasoline prices. Currently, no changes are expected in diesel prices. CURRENT FUEL PRICESIn Istanbul, gasoline is sold between 42.22-42.33 TL, and diesel is sold between 44.10-44.16 TL. In Ankara, gasoline is sold for 42.75 TL, and diesel is sold for 44.73 TL. In Izmir, gasoline is sold for 43.25 TL, and diesel is sold for 45.23 TL. HOW ARE FUEL PRICES DETERMINED?In Turkey, fuel prices have been determined according to the Free Pricing System since January 1, 2005, within the framework of the Petroleum Market Law. This system allows fuel distribution companies to set depot sales prices based on different pricing policies. Similarly, dealers have the right to determine their own sales prices according to the competitive conditions in their region, while complying with the ceiling pump sale prices suggested by distribution companies.
