Galatasaray aims to apply the defensive discipline-based game plan from the Liverpool matches to win the Fenerbahçe derby.

Closing the chapter on the Turkish Cup and focusing entirely on the league, Galatasaray's only agenda is the Fenerbahçe derby.

DERBY STRATEGY REVEALED

In the yellow-reds, head coach Okan Buruk has determined the strategy for the derby, which he sees as a critical turning point in the championship race. Despite the significant point advantage, the experienced coach will take the field not for a draw but for an absolute victory.

LIVERPOOL MATCH TO BE USED AS REFERENCE

Okan Buruk's biggest reference for the derby has been the successful results against Liverpool in the Champions League this season. Planning to apply the tactical discipline that brought Liverpool to their knees at RAMS Park in the Champions League against Fenerbahçe, the experienced tactician will operate based on the "winning squad" and "winning game."  The defensive line that kept a clean sheet against Liverpool will retain its place in the derby. In goal, in front of Uğurcan Çakır, the quartet of Singo, Sanchez, Abdülkerim, and Jakobs will take duty. In the center of the midfield, the duo of Lemina and Torreira will build the bridge between defense and attack. Okan Buruk trusts the tactical loyalty of these 7 players from the Liverpool matches.

NAMES IN THE ATTACK LINE

The yellow-reds' goal-scoring weapons are also clear. On the wings, Barış Alper Yılmaz, who makes a difference with his speed, and Sane, with his technique, will take their places, while Sara will be in the number 10 position. At the tip of the attack, Victor Osimhen will be the one to wear down the opposing defense.

PATIENCE AND SHOCK PRESSURE

Galatasaray will display an image of maintaining control, being patient, and defending as a team against Fenerbahçe. Even in moments when they leave the ball to the opponent, Cimbom will close down spaces and force the opponent into errors, aiming to reach the result with quick counter-attacks, just as in the Liverpool matches.
