According to the information obtained, in the Edremit district, M.Ö. came to the house on Fazıl Bey Street in Kızılkeçili Neighborhood to reconcile with his wife, from whom he was about to separate. M.Ö. started talking with his wife Nezihe Nurçin Ö., his father-in-law Ali Rıza Kaya, his mother-in-law Sevim Kaya, and his sister-in-law Gülçin Kaya. During the argument, M.Ö. attacked the family with a knife.

MOTHER-IN-LAW AND SISTER-IN-LAW LOST THEIR LIVES

Upon the notification of nearby citizens, a large number of gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. In the attack, Gülçin Kaya died at the scene from knife wounds, while mother-in-law Sevim Kaya died at Körfez Hospital, where she was taken. Nezihe Nurçin Ö., who was seriously injured by knife wounds, was taken into surgery at Körfez Hospital, while Ali Rıza Kaya was injured by knife wounds he received on his hand.
