CONAKRY (AA) - The Guinean Ministry of Information and Communication expressed its interest in getting technical assistance from Turkey.
Amara Sompare, Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Guinea said his office was looking forward for the Guinean Press Agency (AGP) to work with Anadolu Agency and benefit from its experience.
Sompare said strong bilateral relations between Turkey and his country, as well as the friendly ties between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Guinean counterpart Alpha Conde, will guarantee mutual benefits.
"I began a strategic partnership with TRT, Turkish embassy in Conakry and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). We already signed a protocol," he added.
Twelve technicians from various media outlets of Guinea will receive a 10-day theoretical and practical training in Istanbul.
"We are also studying ways to work with Anadolu Agency to increase the capacity of Guinean Press Agency employees. We want to have technical support and benefit from the experience of Anadolu Agency as it is an international agency with reporters in various regions of the world," Sompare said.
The ministry thanked Turkey for a previous donation of 50 buses to Conakry. -
