Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will attend the meeting on Syria in Aqaba tomorrow. In a written statement made by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, it was stated that Jordan will host a meeting on December 14, 2024, to discuss developments in Syria. According to the information obtained, the meeting will be attended by the foreign ministers of Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Bahrain, and the United States, as well as Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas, and the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen. BILATERAL MEETINGS WILL ALSO BE HELDThe meeting, which will discuss the current situation in Syria, will address the support that the international community can provide during the transition period. The meeting, which is expected to start in the afternoon, will also include bilateral meetings by Minister Fidan.
