While discussions about Turkish referees continue, FIFA-licensed referee Halil Umut Meler has received an assignment from abroad. Meler will officiate a match in Saudi Arabia.

HE WILL WHISTLE IN THE AL-SHABAB-AL HILAL MATCH

Halil Umut Meler will officiate the Al Shabab-Al Hilal match, which will be played on Saturday, November 30, in the 12th week of the Pro League in Saudi Arabia. The match will take place at Al-Shabab Stadium in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and will start at 20:00. Meler will be assisted by Kerem Ersoy and İbrahim Çağlar Uyarcan. Additionally, Bastien Dankert from the German Football Federation will serve as the VAR, while Murat Tuğberk Curbay will be the AVAR.

A SPECIAL INVITATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED

According to the statement from the Turkish Football Federation, Meler will officiate the match to be played over the weekend, following a special invitation from the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the approval of the Central Referee Committee.

THE STATUS OF THE TWO TEAMS

In the Saudi Arabian Pro League, Al Hilal, with 28 points, is in 2nd place behind the leader Al Ittihad, who has 30 points. Al Shabab, on the other hand, is in 4th place with 22 points and a lower goal difference than Al Nassr.
