Hazal Kaya described the virginity control crisis in the series she starred in.

One of the guests in the latest episode of "Open Microphone," hosted by Oğuzhan Uğur, is actress Hazal Kaya, who made striking comments regarding the virginity control scene in the series "Adını Feriha Koydum," in which she played a role for a period.

Hazal Kaya, who recounted the statements made by her co-star Ayşegül Çıdamlı years ago and the behind-the-scenes of the virginity scene, stated: "The architect of my value was actually my female colleague, who was trying to belittle me. When my co-star said, 'There was a virginity control scene, she didn't want to play it,' it was a story that implied I wasn't a very smart woman and that I took the series seriously."

"IF FERIHA HAD LIVED THAT SCENE..."

What I was actually trying to do there was this: I wish we had filmed that scene. If the character Feriha had experienced this virginity control scene, which is as harsh as rape, we could have seen how devastated that girl was. But the continuation of the scene didn't go that way. Afterwards, she was going to her boyfriend. I said, 'A great violence was inflicted on this girl's body; why aren't we talking about this? If we are going to talk about it, let's do it. If we are not, and she is going to her boyfriend, then let's not shoot it at all. Let her oppose it and let's continue,' I had said."

WHAT DID AYŞEGÜL ÇIDAMLI SAY?

Ayşegül Çıdamlı, who played 'Hatice Hala' in the series "Adını Feriha Koydum," said the following about Hazal Kaya in a magazine program she attended: "Hazal opposed it by saying, 'I won't play this, the woman is being belittled here.' She even said to me, 'Ayşegül sister, they are taking me for a virginity control, can it be this much?' I told her, 'Girl, you are not the one going for a virginity control, it's Feriha. Don't confuse your role with reality.' She didn't listen. That scene was the end of everything. Hazal couldn't recover after that. It turned out her mother was also among the founders of Mor Çatı. That's why Hazal reacted so strongly to the virginity control scene. Also, her friends were really filling her head with it. They were mocking her because of this series."
