The Portuguese coach did not attend the press conference as Galatasaray's head coach Okan Buruk's statements took a long time. A big surprise was waiting for Mourinho as he was leaving the stadium.

As the Portuguese coach was heading to the team bus, a reporter called out, "One question." The reporter wanted to ask a question through a translation app on his phone. When Mourinho tried to respond, "Who are you! Are you a journalist?" the channel's English name, "White Channel," was given as an answer. Following this, Mourinho told the reporter, who started speaking Turkish into his phone, "Are you joking, or are you serious?" He then walked away saying, "I don't speak Turkish."
