After killing his father with a gun in Edirne, the son, who dismembered the body with an axe in the bathroom, burned it in the forest he brought and then buried it by the riverbank, stated that he killed his father for inheritance.

MURDERED HIS FATHER BRUTALLY AND PARTICIPATED IN SEARCH OPERATIONS

According to the information obtained, 27-year-old Canberk Yalçın, who killed his 58-year-old father Şerif Yalçın with a gun in Domurcalı Village of Edirne's Süloğlu district, dismembered the body with an axe in the bathroom, burned it in the forest he brought, and then buried it by the riverbank, returned home afterward. In the following hours, Yalçın reported to the gendarmerie that his father was missing and participated in the search operations, ensuring that the searches were concentrated in other areas.

CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS GAVE HIM AWAY

Yalçın, who raised suspicion with his contradictory statements and did not escape the attention of the gendarmerie, was taken into custody. After completing the procedures at the Süloğlu District Gendarmerie Command, the son was arrested by the court he was brought to at the Edirne Courthouse, and it was learned that he stated he killed his father out of fear of inheritance being divided.

KILLED TO PREVENT INHERITANCE FROM BEING DIVIDED

In Yalçın's statement, it was claimed that he confessed to committing the murder out of fear that the inheritance of the valuable fields in the village would be divided, as his parents lived separately and his father wanted to marry another woman.
