In the following hours, Yalçın reported to the gendarmerie that his father was missing and participated in the search operations, ensuring that the searches were concentrated in other areas. CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS GAVE HIM AWAYYalçın, who raised suspicion with his contradictory statements and did not escape the attention of the gendarmerie, was taken into custody. After completing the procedures at the Süloğlu District Gendarmerie Command, the son was arrested by the court he was brought to at the Edirne Courthouse, and it was learned that he stated he killed his father out of fear of inheritance being divided.
